Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Bionic Book Worm. Each week she picks a fun new topic, and all you have to do to participate is write a post and pingback to one of her posts. This week we’re sharing our top 5 covers of 2019!

5. Pfft.

I’m including only books that I’ve read, and the titles link to my reviews.

Spin the Dawn

Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim

I love the original cover too, but I’m so glad I have the Owlcrate version because it’s just so bright.

Monster She Wrote

Monster, She Wrote: The Women Who Pioneered Horror & Speculative Fiction by Lisa Kröger and Melanie R. Anderson

I love the individual illustrations from the various stories. What’s even better is they appear throughout the book too!

Tea Dragon Festival

The Tea Dragon Festival by Katie O’Neill

Her art is just so adorable.

Killing Gene Cover

The Killing Gene by E.M. Davey

So much detail! After reading the book, the cover makes so. much. sense! Plus my favorite color is orange so yay!

Waiting for Tom Hanks

Waiting for Tom Hanks by Kerry Winfrey

Again, the devil is in the details here. From the cityscape to the film strip outlining “A Novel” to the coffee cup around “for” in the center, this cover is just perfect.

How Not to Die Alone

How Not to Die Alone by Richard Roper

I picked this book up because of the cover. Yay orange again! But also the man just taking that flower to the face is hilarious to me.

Romanov

Romanov by Nadine Brandes

I love this cover and this book SO MUCH!

The Philosopher’s War by Tom Miller

The colors plus the detail make this cover a win.

Unmarriageable by Soniah Kamal

This one is simple, but it’s captivating. I like the color combo, the font, and the detail in the images.

I love a great cover! There’s been tons of good art this year. These books are just a few of my favorites.

On to my next gorgeous reading adventure!

  1. So many great covers! I thought How Not to Die Alone looked hilarious also, though I haven’t read it. And the Tom Miller covers are so bright and eye-catching, even better in person imo. I’ve had my eye on Romanov as well! Great post. 🙂
